Connect one Media Grove Destination player to each of your HDTVs or other displays with a DVI or VGA cable. If your Media Grove system includes 5 or less Destination Players, one of them can act as your Media Server.
Plug in each of your Destination players and join them to your network.
Using any computer with access to your network, open a standard Internet Browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox) and enter the name of your Media Server in the address bar - you will not need to install anything on your computer.
The first thing you'll see is Media Grove log in screen. Enter your user name and password to continue.
Click the Add Media button, give your new Media Item a name, and click the browse button to find the file you'd like to load into Media Grove from your computer.
Media Grove supports all kinds of media formats including Video, PowerPoint, Flash, Web Sites, PDFs and Digital Photos.
If you'd like, you can enter a description to make the Media easier to find later with the Media Search feature. Once you're done, simply click the Save button to add your new Media Item.
Scheduling media for display is easy - find the Destination player you want to use under the Destinations tab and click the Edit button.
Drag and drop Media from the Media browser on the left into the Destination Schedule on the right for each day of the week. Once you have Media Items in the Schedule, you can drag them up and down in the list to change their display order. You can even fine tune your Schedule by assigning a specific amount of time for each Media Item to display.
With Media Grove you are not limited to scheduled presentations - you can also customize interactive Menus that allow viewers to select the media they want to see. Click the Menu tab on any Destination, then drag and drop Media from the Media browser on the left into the Destination Menu on the right.
You can click the Publish button to send your new Schedule and Menu to the Destination player, or do nothing and Media Grove will continue to use the current Schedule and Menu until you you choose to publish your content.
Media Grove combines your collection of diverse Media types into a seamless, high definition presentation of your message.
Use a touchscreen or connect a mouse (or some other input device like a trackball) to allow viewers to interrupt the schedule to select the Media they'd like to view on-demand.
Media Grove's interactive Menu feature turns your HDTV or other display into a dynamic kiosk, great for building directories and wayfinding (maps).
You might be able to set up Media Grove for yourself, but keep in mind that there are a few other details not mentioned in our summary above so depending on your experience with the technologies involved, it might be worth hiring a professional to help.
